
Georgia Kellogg was born in Athens, Greece and moved to Chicago at the age of 7 with her family! She graduated College of DuPage and Triton College majoring in science and nursing! She moved to Saint Simons Island, Georgia in 2000 and after having her third child she began art lessons and fell
in love with painting! She has studied art with several well respected artists in the community but mainly
with Jeanne Nelson Szabo for nearly three years! She loves to experiment with different mixed media
but mostly have fun!
"My philosophy is self transformation that is attained through the creative process of making art. I think of art as a multi-dimensional formation of complex relationships and that ultimately produces an object. For me art is the use
of skill and imagination in the production of beauty! I believe that art must be an inspired creation of those things
that have a great purpose (my Greek heritage) and in this I think of it as pushing the envelope and mixing materials
to create a remarkable object.”
